The workshops involve psychoeducation, discussions, and group work where participants learn various techniques to build self-confidence, communicate effectively, and form healthy relationships.
We work on automatic thoughts that are available in stressful situations.
When children don’t set boundaries, both their mental and physical health can suffer. Failing to stand up for themselves may lead to stress-related health issues such as stomach pain, hair loss, skin problems, autoimmune diseases, chronic stress, or digestive problems. Suppressing their needs and emotions can also increase the risk of anxiety and depression.
We encourage youth to reclaim their voice, enabling them to prioritize their own needs. We emphasize that what they feel and think is important.
Participants will work on challenging automatic thoughts, silencing the inner critic, and overcoming tendencies to please others at their own expense. Together, we debunk cognitive distortions to help build a stable sense of self-worth.
