Drama classes focus on four areas of child development: psychomotor, cognitive, emotional, and social. The instructor follows the needs of the participants, adjusting the exercises to the specific groups members.
Applied drama is a method that operates on the human ability to embody different characters, imagine, and create. Children actively identify with fictional roles and situations, and thanks to their innate tendency to role-play, they can safely explore their reactions in various scenarios and discover new, adaptive ways of acting and coping by trying out alternatives to what they already know. This sets drama apart from ordinary "role-playing scenes."
We cultivate future competencies that will help children navigate an ever-changing world. The proposed activities enhance mental resilience, self-confidence, and the ability to act proactively.
We build in children a sense that what they feel, think, and do is important and valuable. We assume that your child has the power, which we help them unleash.
Through dramatic activities, children present their point of view and share their inner world. This helps them learn to express themselves and their ideas boldly and freely, overcoming shyness. We encourage children to take initiative, make decisions, and think independently. These skills reduce tendencies toward passivity and learned helplessness in response to stressful situations.
To develop self-confidence and self-esteem, children need approval. A safe and comfortable group environment strengthens social-emotional skills while teaching cooperation, compromise, and assertiveness.
... and all of this is done through play, which allows children to release tension and re-live situations they know from life or fiction.
